A Texas-based health-care provider has acquired Hospice de la Luz, an Albuquerque hospice company, according to a news release.
The acquisition of Hospice de la Luz, founded in 2005 and located at 3812 Academy Pkwy. N NE, is the third hospice-related acquisition by Jet Health Inc., which is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
“[It’s] yet another example of our ability to source and close deals with high-quality partners to fuel the growth of our business,” Jet Health CEO Stacie Bratcher said in a prepared statement. “We are excited by the opportunity to better service our patients and referral sources throughout the Albuquerque marketplace.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, according to the news release.
Robert Metz is the majority owner of Hospice de la Luz, according to the release. He said the acquisition allows the Albuquerque hospice provider to expand services and grow.
“We chose to join Jet Health based on its excellent clinical care and service reputation under the Klarus brand as well as the people-centric culture,” Metz said. “We knew our patients and employees would be in good hands with Jet Health.”
Hospice de la Luz provided services to an average of 50 people per month over the last year, according to the company.
Founded in 2016, Jet Health provides home health, hospice, skilled nursing care, physical, speech and occupational therapy and personal-care services. In addition to its Texas and New Mexico locations, the company operates in Colorado and Idaho.
